I dove pretty deep into my own darkness and went through shadow work for quite some time when I first quit my job and allowed myself to be still and really do some digging. It was wildly uncomfortable, but I'm sure we can all agree that discomfort is where ya grow. Mostly this work helped me to integrate more...to accept and embrace the totality of myself...but the greatest gift is that I can see darkness around me, in the world and understand it better. It has helped me step out of the judgmental mindset that is so easy to have.
Thank you for sharing; so true, the darkness is where we grow, and truly reclaim all parts of ourselves. Society says, "Run or hide from the darkness", maybe because they don't want us to grow?
